| Steps |
 |
| 1.
|
Have a discussion with your class about what could make class
more interesting. The same things normally come up like listening to music. |
 |
| 2. |
Listen to their suggestions and compromise. |
| |
| 3. |
Let them listen to a CD of their choice; maybe everyone can
bring in a CD at some agreed-upon time. |
 |
| 4. |
Be flexible, but don't let the kids rule you. Of course they'll
want to take advantage of these fun things, but you still want to
maintiain control. Just don't be overly strict. |
 |
| 5. |
Make the work you do fun; any subject can be interesting if done
through a game or puzzle. |
 |
| 6.
|
Stay in fashion. It'll help you connect with the kids a little
better. |

| Tips |
 |
 |
Listen to your students! You'll be amazed how much they'll
respect you when you do. |
| |
|
 |
Give respect, and never humiliate a student in front of the class
unless the context is a very clear joke. Humiliation offends far
more people than just the student in question, and many children will be
respond negatively if they see a teacher act unjustly. |
